What this Radar is

The World Fresh Strawberry Buyers Radar names every company that bought fresh strawberry from Peru, Mexico and Colombia, as recorded by their export customs: 88 buyers in 10 countries, 2,408 shipments and 96 suppliers. Each buyer appears once, even when customs records write its name in several ways.

Every buyer, verified and profiled

The largest buyers get one page each:

The other buyers are listed after the profiles with their country, value, volume, price a kilo, main origin and main supplier. Amounts are the minimum each buyer bought: they count only the shipments that customs records declare under its name.

Priced by the kilo, the way the trade quotes it

Eight in ten of the 2,408 shipments sold between $0.52 and $4.96 a kilo, at a median of $1.65. Each profile gives the average price that buyer paid, so you can compare what it pays with what you sell at.

Two formats, one purchase

The PDF holds the market overview by buyer country, the index of the profiled buyers, their profiles and the full list of the rest.

The Excel lists every shipment of the scope, one per row, in a single sheet: date, exporting country, exporter, buyer, kilos, value, price, destination, the classification read from the commercial description, and the description itself. A column marks the shipments the Radar counts.
