Mexico shipped 20.3% more fresh raspberries through August 2026 and earned 6.9% less

From January to August 2026, 102 exporters shipped US$ 651.85 million of fresh raspberries from Mexico, 93,051 tonnes at US$ 7.26 per kilo. In the same months of 2025, 101 exporters shipped US$ 700.44 million, 77,347 tonnes at US$ 9.53. The tonnes rose 20.3%, the value fell 6.9% and the price per kilo fell 23.8%.
I went through the customs export records of Mexico shipment by shipment, from January 2025 through the end of August 2026, the latest month published. The price per kilo is the value divided by the net kilos. Since January 2025, 137 exporters shipped US$ 1,664.27 million in 12,454 shipments.

The largest exporters
Driscolls shipped US$ 386.64 million from January to August 2026, 52,857 tonnes, to 10 countries. Its value fell 18.1% from the same months of 2025, while its tonnes rose 21.2%. Hortifrut followed with US$ 59.87 million, and US$ 59.56 million of that went to the Hortifrut company in the United States.
Berries Paradise shipped US$ 41.05 million at US$ 10.48 per kilo to 16 countries, 17.0% more value than in the same months of 2025. Sun Belle shipped US$ 34.73 million, 100.4% more value than in the same months of 2025. Meridian Fruits shipped US$ 20.66 million.
Comercializadora Agreste shipped US$ 11.26 million at US$ 9.49 per kilo, Sunnyridge Farm US$ 9.45 million at US$ 8.25, Frunatural US$ 7.80 million at US$ 6.52 and Nissi Blue US$ 7.54 million at US$ 13.76.
The price fell from January to June
In January 2025 the kilo sold at US$ 12.35. In January 2026 it sold at US$ 8.48. From January to June, every month of 2026 sold below the same month of 2025.
July and August moved the other way. The kilo sold at US$ 5.84 and US$ 6.24 in 2026, against US$ 5.13 and US$ 4.81 in 2025.
More fruit in the spring
Mexico shipped 18,689 tonnes in April 2026, the most of any month since January 2025. In April 2025 it had shipped 13,651. The lowest month was July 2025, with 4,842 tonnes.
The exporters that sell to the most buyers
Since January 2025, seven exporters sold to 10 or more buyers and three to 20 or more. Berries Paradise sold to 41 buyers, US$ 100.13 million at US$ 10.54 per kilo. The Fruitist bought US$ 15.11 million from it, Veg Fresh Farms US$ 13.52 million and North Bay Produce US$ 12.62 million.
Zoe Fruits sold to 31 buyers, US$ 1.99 million at US$ 16.17 per kilo. Harvest Agriculture Trading, Berry Mount Vegetables and Fruits Trading and Armela Farms were its largest buyers. H52 sold to 29 buyers, US$ 6.26 million at US$ 5.59. Bree Foods sold to 12 buyers at US$ 16.96 per kilo, among them Nationwide Produce, Santoro Frutta and Fruktovaya Lavka.
Who sold at the highest price
Since January 2025, among the exporters of more than US$ 5 million that sell outside their own group, A y R Berries Avocados sold at the highest price, US$ 14.68 per kilo. It shipped US$ 8.27 million, and Alpine Fresh bought US$ 8.26 million of it. Nissi Blue followed at US$ 13.47, Gf Bros at US$ 11.63, Barahass Global at US$ 10.56 and Berries Paradise at US$ 10.54.
Shipments declared organic sold at US$ 8.60 per kilo and conventional ones at US$ 7.05, with 26 exporters shipping organic fruit. Driscolls shipped US$ 147.77 million of organic raspberries at US$ 9.73 per kilo and Berries Paradise US$ 32.60 million at US$ 12.57.
Where the fruit goes
Since January 2025, buyers in the United States took US$ 1,640.19 million at US$ 7.73 per kilo. Canada bought US$ 10.64 million at US$ 8.27, Italy US$ 2.94 million at US$ 12.72, Japan US$ 1.43 million at US$ 15.69 and Saudi Arabia US$ 1.43 million at US$ 16.90.
In 2026, 17 exporters shipped for the first time, US$ 2.22 million in all. And 35 exporters that shipped in 2025 had no shipments through August 2026.
If I imported fresh raspberries from Mexico, I would ask for offers for July and August, when the kilo sold at US$ 5.84 and US$ 6.24 in 2026. And I would talk to more than the two largest exporters, because seven exporters already sell to 10 or more buyers.
